Environmental Performance

The company has campaigned and created awareness among employees to be aware of the valuable use of resources and organized activities to promote environmental conservation as follows:

Electricity usage statistics

It was found that in 2022, electricity consumption decreased by 73,428 kilowatts equivalent, resulting in greenhouse gas emissions of 36,706 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, a decrease of 8.6 percent compared to the base year of 2021, but not reaching the set target.

Water usage statistics

It was found that in 2022, water usage decreased by 1,880 cubic meters, equivalent to greenhouse gas emissions of 1,493 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, a decrease of 37.1 percent compared to the base year of 2021, in line with the set target.

Food waste statistics (waste)

It was found that in 2022, the amount of food waste (waste) was reduced by 63,820 kilograms, equivalent to the amount of greenhouse gas emissions equal to 161,464 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, representing a decrease of 21.1 percent compared to the base year of 2021, in line with the set target.

A4 paper usage statistics
It was found that in 2022, the amount of paper used decreased by 20.55 kilograms, equivalent to the amount of greenhouse gas emissions equal to 60.2 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, which is a decrease of 1.3 percent compared to the base year of 2021. However, the results are not yet in line with the set target. The company has just started collecting statistics on paper use in 2021.
Summary of environmental performance from electricity usage, tap water, food waste (waste) and A4 paper. Greenhouse gas emissions from electricity bills have not yet reached the set target. However, overall greenhouse gas emissions of all types are on target, resulting in a 16.7 percent reduction in overall greenhouse gas emissions.
Overview of greenhouse gas emission reductions from each type of energy

Note: All calculations of Factory Emission values refer to Thai National LCI Database. TIIS-MTEC-NSTDA (with TGO electricity 2016-2018).

Year 2021 Year 2022
In 2021, the performance results of greenhouse gas emissions from each type of energy, electricity and tap water can be reduced according to the set target.
The results of the operation, greenhouse gas emissions, water supply and waste are in line with the set targets.
For the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from waste, which has not yet reached the target, because the amount of waste has not been reduced much by having employees buy food to eat to reduce going to communities, markets, and shopping malls, etc.
Electricity bills and greenhouse gas emissions have not yet met targets due to floor relocation and office renovation.
Start collecting statistics from all sites from the original main office only.
Start calculating GHGs with an A4 paper.

OTO GO GREEN Project

The OTO project helps reduce for the world we love, year 2 or OTO GO GREEN, due to the impact on the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that have been continuously increasing, therefore, we support the activity of the project “OTO helps reduce for the world we love” for the 2nd consecutive year to allow employees in the organization to participate in helping reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions. The activities in the project that employees can help with are as follows: saving water, saving electricity, separating waste before disposal, and using both sides of paper, including reusing resources to encourage employees to know the value of resources and use them most efficiently.

The company has joined the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s Care the Bear project to help drive the reduction of global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the organization’s activities. The company has included paper usage reduction in the project. Statistics show that the use of 70-gram A4 paper has a carbon footprint reduction of 98.86 KgCO2e, equivalent to the absorption of CO2/year of 11 trees, and the online meeting activity can help reduce the carbon footprint by 3,209.01 KgCO2e, equivalent to the absorption of CO2/year of 355 trees.
